SHE IS THE DIRECT ANCESTOR OF MYBRANCH OF THE NASH TREE. She was born April 18, 1713: died February 15,1786. Her first marriage was to Martin Oberholtzer on . November 2,1736. He was born in 1709 in Germany and died April 5, 1744 in his 39thyear. She married for the second time to pioneer William Nash, as histhird wife.       Agnes was born at Lucon in Perkiomen and Skippack Township OldPhiladelphia County. She died Feb. 15 1786. She and first husband MartinOberholtzer lived in Bedminster Township, Bucks Co. but she may havemoved to Towamincin after his death. Her sister Dorothy Kolb (born c1706) was married to John Gottschalk (died 1759), a brother of Nash'sfirst wife Magdalena.. William Nash and Agnes lived in Towamencin untilhe sold his farm there in 1756 and they then moved to Deep Run. WilliamNash had not gotten title to his land in Deep Run before he died. Thecodicil to his will provided that the executrix, wife Agnes, andexecutor, son in law Wm. Tyson, should have full power and authority toget a draught for Nash's Plantation, so that they might get a deed ortitle for it, if they saw fit. The appraisal of Nash's Estate came to L439, 5 s, 9d. In May 10, 1762 Wm. Allen conveyed title of 175 acres,44 perches just to the northeast of the 50 acres of Mennonite church landto Abraham Black/Swartz, a brother in law of the Nash's and a witness toNash's will. Swartz had married Annie Kolb (born 1708) a sister ifAgnes. A History of Bedminster 974 821 CAS P 60, differs from theaccount of A.J. Fretz by stating "this lot was sold by Black to AgnesNash 17 April 1784. On 7 Nov. 1784 Agnes sold it to Jacob Overhold. TheFretz account states Henry not Jacob Overhold. also the BedminsterHistory uses Abraham Balck aka Schwartz who changed his name to Black onsettling in Bedminster. Also note 1774 vs 1784. REF NASH 020 "Historyof Bedminster" states: 10 May 1762 175 ac to Abraham Balck also known asAbraham swartz having changed his name on settling in Bedminster. Heacquirted large amount of acreage in the area of the Presbyterian Church.This particular lot was sold by Black to Agnes Nash, widow of WilliamNash 17 April 1784. On 7 Nov. 1784 Agnes Nash sold it to Jacob Overhold.Children of Agnes Kolb and Martin Oberholtzer: Barbara, Henry, Marie,John, Martin. Martin the father (1709-1744) could be son of Marcus(1664-1726)who emigrated from Germany in 1710. Martin was born inGermany 5 Apr 1709 but didn't come to America until 1730.
