  Notes	Dansville, March 29 - James Steffy, an employee of the Dansville & Mount Morris branch of the Erle railroad, was instantly killed about 9 o'clock this morning near the D. & M. station. He was riding on a car filled with ashes that was being taken to Groveland for filling in earth carried away by the recent flood. While the train was in motion a pocket became loose and Mr. Steffy fell through to the track. Aside from a few bruises about the face, he was not cut. Mr. Steffy was about 65 years old leaves his wife, seven grown up children; six sons and a daughter. (The Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester NY, Saturday, March 30, 1918)
