  Notes	Death of James M. Hamsher James M Hamsher died at the home of Geo. Cornbau on Morse Street, where he had lived the past winter, on Sunday. He was born in Sparta in 1853, his parents being Daniel Hamsher and his mother Harriet Hughes before her marriage, and he had lived for several years in the town of West Sparta. He was a farmer. His wife died in 1899, and he is survived only by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cornbau of this village and Mrs. John Howe of Sanford, Michigan. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Alex Berg of St. Paul's United Lutheran church officiating, and he was buried in Greenmount cemetery. (Dansville Express, Dansville NY, Thursday, April 19, 1917)
