DANSVILLE - Barbara Mackey, 65, of Main Street, Dansville, passed away
late Friday evening (February 4, 2005) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in
Dansville following an extended illness.
She was born in Dansville on Nov. 13, 1939, a daughter of Alton and
Lucy Weidman Isaman. On April 9, 1961, she was married to James
Mackey, who survives. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley
Patterson, and her father, Cy Isaman.
Barb was a member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, a former
member of the Ossian Grange and a former Cinderella Softball coach.
She worked as a housekeeper for several families in the Dansville
area. She bowled on the Tuesday afternoon bowling league at Brae Burn
Recreation and enjoyed decorating for holidays, baking, antique
shopping and talking on the phone.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Jim, and her mother, Lucy
Isaman, is her daughter, Michelle Mackey, all of Dansville. Several
aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Betsy Two also survive.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral
Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A funeral service will be held
Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Interment
will be in Wood Cemetery, Ossian.
