- DANSVILLE Sharon L. Goodwin, 49, passed away unexpectedly Friday
(Feb. 20, 2004) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Sharon was born May 28, 1954 in Dansville, a daughter of Leonard and
Ada May (Fuller) Babcock. She was a graduate of Dansville Central
School. She worked for Kelly Brother's Nursery in Danville for several
years.
Sharon had a strong affinity for animals and often assisted in
finding homes for unwanted cats, dogs and any other animals in need.
She was especially fond of dogs. She raised and bred several species
of AKC registered dogs for most of her life. Her home was
affectionately known as "Stormy Way Kennel."
She is survived by her loving husband Craig L. Goodwin; her sons
Jason (Shannon) and Justin Goodwin, both of Ossian; five brothers
Leonard J. Babcock of Dansville, Clayton W. Babcock of Geneseo,
Michael O. (Karen) Babcock of Sparta, Kerry B. (Tammy) Babcock of
Ossian and Gary B. Babcock of Springwater; her sister, Bonnie G.
(James) Goodwin of Dansville; her grandson, Dakota M. Goodwin of
Ossian; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Chamberlin-Baird
Funeral Home, 73 Main St., Dansville, where funeral services will be
held 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will
be held in Wood Cemetery, Ossian, in the spring.
