He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Wayland Grange. Mr. Lander died unexpectedly in his home on November 4, 1962. He was survived by his wife, Lena Drum Lander, of Wayland, and son, Harold, of Dansville; also a sister, Mrs. Mina Kiefer of Cohocton; two brothers, Fred Lander of Hornell and Albert Lander of Cohocton; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service was in Wayland and interment in Wayland Village Cemetery.
