Plot: BriggsNotes - Harry Franklin Briggs, lifelong resident of Honeoye, passed away at Rochester on Nov. 16. Mr. Briggs was born in the town of Richmond, May 20, 1877, a son of Zachary and Anne 'Eliza Sleight Briggs, and his entire life has been spent in that town. During the past three years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Edward Haynes of Arkport. His wife was the late Lillian M. Staley Briggs. Funeral services were held at the Brown Funeral Home at Honeoye, on Saturday at 2pm. with Masonic services on Friday at 8pm. Mr. Briggs was a charter member of Honeoye Valley Grange, and of the Honeoye Masonic Lodge of which he was also past master. Burial was in the family lot in Lake View Cemetery. The Rev. Luther Cross, pastor of Arkport Presbyterian Church, officiated. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Edward Haynes of Arkport. he leaves one son, Charles Briggs of Rochester, and four grandchildren.
