Notes - Clarence Brown, aged 56. for many years a farmer on Campbell Creek in this town, and for the past 15 years foreman at the gas plant in this village, died at his home on Wilson Avenue early Wednesday afternoon after an illness of little less than two weeks. His funeral will be held at the Hewlett Funeral Home this (Friday) afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. George W. Keeling, pastor of Centenary Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Nondaga cemetery. Clarence Brown was born in Bath, July 17, 1883, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Brown. He was twice married, his first wife dying more than twenty years ago. His second wife was Effie Patterson, of Tyrone, Pa. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, nine children: Mrs. Mervin Stewart, Mrs. Floyd Margeson, Floyd, Leon, Henry, Elwin, Robert, Charles, and Ralph Brown, all of this village. His father, Chauncey Brown, is still living and a resident of Bath. There are several surviving grandchildren. Mr. Brown was a man who made friends easily and kept them because of his genial, generous nature. He was kind in his home, friendly in the community, and a man of uprightness and integrity.

- Fire Destroys Home of Clarence Brown
Fire, at 5:45 p. m. Tuesday, destroyed the farm home of Clarence Brown on the Campbell Creek Road, seven miles from
Bath. The Bath Fire Department responded to a call and saved adjoining buildings from destruction. Loss is estimated at $2500. The home was burned to the ground and its contents destroyed.

- FIRE DESTROYS BARN OF MRS. CLARENCE BROWN
Fire destroyed the barn on the farm of Mrs. Clarence Brown on Campbell Creek, Wednesday. The loss is estimated at $1,800, with an insurance of $800. About a year ago the house burned; a few weeks ago, Mr. Brown died; and now fire takes the barn. Mrs. Brown has the sympathy of all who know her.
