He was born February 20, 1857, in Howard, the son of- Mr. and Mrs. William Stewart. He resided there during his early life where he followed farming. For the past 30 years he had resided in Addison where he was employed as a teamster for the Park, Winton & True factory for many years. Forty-six years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Barker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Barker of Cameron. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, John W. Stewart of Bath; Fred Stewart of Bolivar and James H. Stewart of Union Springs, and one daughter, Mrs. Lester Miller of Geneva; and the following grandchildren: David, John, Margaret, Catherine, Jane, Harold, Richard and Junior Stewart of Bath; Fred Miller of Geneva, James, jr., Winifred and Kathleen Stewart of Union Springs. The funeral was held from his late home in Farnham street Tuesday, Rev. Kenneth E. Arnold, pastor of the Baptist church officiated, and burial was in Town Line cemetery at Cameron Mills.
