- BATH - Elizabeth A. Margeson, 93, of Taylor Health Care Center, died Tuesday (Sept. 5, 2006) at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1912, in Bath. She was the daughter of Alice Elizabeth Hadley Brown and Clarence Edgar Brown. She was a lifetime resident of Bath, the owner and operator of CHAT-A-WYLE Restaurant from 1940 to 1993, along with her husband and family. Liz and Floyd Margeson "Popeye" were married Nov. 29, 1930 at Kanona Methodist Church. Floyd predeceased her in 1982, as well as her son, Robert R. Margeson in 1985. Liz also was predeceased by one sister and seven brothers, including Florence Stewart, Floyd, Leon, Henry, Robert, Charles, Ralph and Elwin Brown. She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Jo and George Lee Canfield; 16 grandchildren, Bobby Margeson, Ruth Ann (Steve), Floyd Helm (Audry), Phil (Penny), Fawn Masti (Ron), Faith Preston (Carl), Shawn, Gretchen, Leigh Ann, Rebecca and Stephanie Canfield; 25 great-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Kingdom Hall, 6968 E. Washington St., Bath. Seager Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Bath Ambulance or Bath Fire Department
