He Sustained a Stroke of Apoplexy This Morning and Died This Afternoon.
Henry A. Keefer, who for several years was a motorman in the employ of the Jamestown Street Railway company, sustained a stroke of apoplexy this morning and died at his home, corner of East Fourth street and Prendergast avenue, at about 3 o'clock this afternoon. He was at work as usual this morning but did not feel well and succeeded in getting home with considerable difficulty. Shortly after arriving home he suffered the stroke and death took place a few hours later. Mr. Keefer was considered one of the most reliable and efficient men in the employ of the street railway company and Superintendent Harvey stated to a Journal reporter this afternoon that he could be depended upon every time. He leaves a wife and three children, William Keefer of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Dora Chapman of Los Angeles, Cal., and Miss Cora Keefer of this city.
