  Notes	JACOB STALEY, AGED 84, DIES Former Member of Water Board Had Been in Ill Health Three Years Jacob W. Staley, 84, of 113 Burton street, a resident of Fulton County and former member of the Johnstown Board of Water Commissioners, died yesterday morning about 10 at the Holden Convalescent Home, Gloversville. He had been in failing health about three years with a complication of diseases and had been a patient in the Holden Home for seven weeks. Mr. Staley was born in Rockwood November 6, 1856, son of George Henry Staley and Hannah (Peters) Staley. He was married in 1882 to Anna Beake, of Sammonsville, who passed away about four weeks ago on May 15. Mr. Staley followed farming until removing to Johnstown in 1913 when he retired. He served for a number of years as assessor in the Town of Johnstown and several terms in the water board of the city. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran church and was a former member of Lodge 80, I. O. O. F. The survivors are two sons, Harry A. Staley, clerk in the Johnstown postoffice, and Robert Staley of Gloversville; also five grandchildren. The body was removed to the Wassung & Brown funeral home, where the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. Wilmer M. Zuehlke of St. Paul’s Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be made in the Johnstown cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home this evening and tomorrow evening from 7 to 9.
