Sick, 90, of 5 Prospect Avenue, died Wednesday (Nov. 12, 1997) at his home. Born in Wayland, July 12, 1907, a son of Frank and Dora Lander Sick, he had resided in Canisteo since about 1936. He had been employed as a signalman and yard conductor for the former Erie Railroad for 35 years. Following his retirement. he owned and operated the Zenith TV Sales & Service in Canisteo. Ted was also responsible for originating Television Cable Service in part of the Village of Canisteo. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Hornell and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway. Trainmen Lodge #1050. Surviving are his wife, Marion Powers Sick, whom he married on Aug.13, 1936; three daughters,Barbara (Philip) Macris of Rochester, Sharon (Lynn) Feenaughty of Pheonix, Ariz., and Kathleen (Bill) Allen of West Dan-by; one son, Theodore (Linda) Sick of Rochester; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday to recieve friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo, where funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with the Rev. Andrea Stockel and Rev. Daniel Heintz, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo. Friends withing to remember Ted are asked to consider a memorial contribution to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 81 Elm St., Hornell, NY 14843, or to the American Diabetes Association, 242 Andrews St., Rochester, NY 14604-1144.
