  Notes	ALLEN, William, b in April 6, 1841, West Almond, NY. He was a Private in the 1st Dragoons and enlisted on Jan 4, 1864 for 6 months. The bounty was $300. His parents were Wessen ALLEN and Sally Ann STEWART, previous occupation farmer. He was taken prisoner at the Battle of Cold Harbor, and died in Andersonville Prison of fever sometime in August. He was supposed to be buried there.
