She was a 170 Bowler and earned many yearly championships with husband Milt and brother and wife, Clair and Freda Smith, in a Mixed league. Marian managed the Erwin Valley Cinderella Girls Softball team and won the World Series one year. She was golf champion in the Ladies Association of Indian Hills Golf Club in 1992 and 1994 accomplishing a Hole-in-one in 1993 at Okeechobee,Florida.
