- Jane graduated Iroquois High School, Elma, NY in 1962 and the University of Rochester in 1965. Her occupation title is Business Management Consultant.
- Jane Collette Burdette, 65, died March 15, 2011, at Hospice House in Concord, surrounded by family and friends, after a nearly two-year battle with brain cancer. She was born April 16, 1945, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Dr. Edward and Eleanor Valentine. She married Rodney E. Burdette in 1965. She received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Rochester and a master's in organizational development from Antioch College. Mrs. Burdette was an accomplished gardener, gourmet cook, hostess, cross-country skier, game and card champion, reader, water enthusiast, naturalist and talented interior designer. Her volunteer work included Hospice, N.H. Dental Society's Women's Auxiliary, Pastoral Counseling of New Hampshire, Cursillo and Epilogos, a dental mission in El Salvador. In addition to her husband, family includes daughter Christine Piatt of Derry; son Todd Burdette of Hopkinton; nine grandchildren; sisters Mary-Jo, Ann, Kathleen and Eleanor; brothers Edward and Richard. SERVICES: Calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., Concord. A funeral service is Saturday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 176 Loudon Road, Concord. Memorial donations may be made to Norris Cotton Cancer Center
