  Notes	Joseph Pool his Will (1700) Joseph Pool being sensible and apprehensive of ye near approach of Death by dangerous disease Do make this my Last Will and Testament. First I do give up my Soul to God through the Lord Jesus Christ my only Saviour in hopes of Eternal life, Concerning my Worldly Estate my Will is that my funeral Expenses be duly discharged & my just Debts duly paid. My Will is That my beloved wife Elizabeth Pool shall have during her Natural Life the Improvement of One Third part of my whole Estate, And also my Will is that she shall have One Third part of my Estate that is in Moveables to be at her own disposal forever. Item. My Will is and I do give and bequeath unto my son Joseph Pool my house and Barn that was John Lovell’s, & half of my Land and Meadow that is in Cedar Swamp Plain; & all other Land of mine that is above my home living which is near Wm. Ruggles, the one half of it; That is to say My Land above my home living that lyes in Weymouth bounded Northerly by James Lovell junr; the one half of it I give to my son Joseph as aforesaid. Item. The Remainder or the other half of my Land above mentioned I do give unto my son Samuel Pool with the new house that he lives in. Item. I do give unto my son Isaac Pool my house & Land and Meadow adjoining that I now live in, all my Land below or Northerly of the Land before mentioned and given. Item. I do give unto my sons Joseph & Isaac my Ninety five Acres of Land that is in the Township of Bridgewater that I purchased of John Lovell, to be divided equally between them. Item. I do give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Lovell Twenty & five pounds. Item. I do give unto all the rest of my Daughters that shall survive after my decease Twenty pounds apiece. And further my Will is that my sons Joseph and Samuel shall have and I do hereby give unto them equally to each an equal share of all the rest of my Estate in Land and Meadow both in Weymouth and in Bridgewater or any other where that is not above given, and of all other Estate. And my Will is and I do hereby appoint my Three sons Joseph and Samuel and Isaac to pay my Daughters what I have given them as above equally amongst them. And finally I do appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Pool to be my Executrix, and my Three sons above mentioned to be Executors together with her of this my Last Will and Testament. And I do hereby revoke and make void all other and former Wills ratifying and declaring this to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have set to my hand and seal the Eleventh Day of April Anno Domini 1700.
