- Theodore R. Linsner, 80, retired from Foster-Wheeler Energy Corp. in
Dansville, where he worked for 38 years, died Wednesday (October 31,
2001) at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo.
Mr. Linsner had resided on Groveland Hill Rd. in Groveland.
He was born February 7, 1921 in Groveland, a son of Samuel and Selena
(Burns) Linsner. He was an avid sportsman and trapshooter, having been
a member of the Perkinsville Rod and Gun Club, and the Big Tree
Conservation League in Groveland.
He is survived by four sisters, Nellie Richmond of Dansville, Eunice
(Irving) Buchanan of North Carolina, Peggy Stanley and Joan Magee,
both of Groveland; four brothers, Warren (Dorothy) Linsner and Seymour
(Phyllis) Linsner, both of Groveland, Melvin (Jane) Linsner of Geneseo
and Larry (Elaine) Linsner of Livonia; a brother-in-law, William Lynn
of North Cohocton; a sister-in-law, Patricia Linsner of Clifton
Springs; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday (November 3, 2001) at the
Rector-Hicks Funeral Home. Rev. Thomas Lebeau of the Groveland
Federated Parish officiated. Private interment was held in the
Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
