Edna died shortly after her marriage, and was rumored to have been murdered by her husband. May 2 - Abner E. Allen, 81, at his home in West Almond. Mr. Allen was born in Alfred and has lived his entire life in Allegany County. His wife, two brothers and two sisters survive. (Andover News, Friday, May 7, 1937)
