  Notes	1910 and 1920 living with her sister, Eva Thayer in Crawford Co.,PA (Titusville Herald, Oct 31, 1941, p.3) "Miss Mary Ellen Whitford, aged 77, died at 12:20 pm Thursday at the home of her sister, Mrs Frank Thayer, RD 2, on the Spring Creek road. She had suffered from a heart ailment, but was seriously ill only about a week. The deceased was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Hiram H Whitford and was born on the farm where she died on March 25, 1864. She spent most of her life on the farm and was a member of Hydetown Grange. The body will be taken from the Arnold funeral home to the Thayer residence today, where friends may call and where services will be held at 2 pm Sunday. Rev E W Mattison of Union City UB church will officiate and interment will be in the Henderson cemetery on the Church Run road."
