Notes - Charles Cassidy miner was born at Kirland, Ohio a child of Luman Andros Miner and Mary Jane Haynes. He came with his parents to Hampton, Iowa in 1869 where he grew to manhood. In 1891 he united with the M.E. Church at Chapin, Iowa. He united in marriage to Miss Agusta (Gussie) Hamilton. Together they had one child, Scott Hamilton Miner. After Guessie died, Charles united in marriage in 1904 to Mrs. Mate Taylor. No children came from this union. In 1899 he united with the M.W.A. at Chapin, Iowa. In 1902 he united with the I.O.O.F. at Windom, MN. He was conscientious in the church, a loyal member to the orders to which he belonged, a faithful husband, loving father and a devoted citizen. Charles died at the age of 54 yrs, 1 month and 20 days.
