- Leslie L. Stauffer of Arkport died unexpectedly Saturday (June 15, 1991).
He was born in Dansville July 11, 1944, a son of Charles and Frances Halbert Stauffer and was a life resident of the Canaseraga-Arkport area. He was employed by Blades Construction Co. and was a former owner of Stauffer Auto Parts in Burns. He was a member of the Arkport Methodist Church, a social member of the Arkport American Legion Post. For many years, Mr. Stauffer was a driver at the Woodhull Raceway.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Wing Stauffer; his mother, Frances of Burns; three sons, David of Burns, Donald of Arkport and Michael of Shepard Air Force Base in Texas; three brothers, Charles of Rochester, Arthur of Ocala, Fla., and John of Burns; two sisters, Leta Strong of Webster and Phyllis Maier of Nunda; two grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Wednesday morning in the Arkport Methodist Church with the Rev. Raymond Linza officiating. Burial was in Arkport Cemetery with arrangements by the Mann Funeral Home of Canaseraga.
