Andrew, I have come across some conflicting information about J.W. Roby, who is in your database. Following are two census reports
Joseph Warren and Emily J. Roby
1880 US Census, Hebron Twp., Potter Co. PA
Roll: T9_1165; Family History Film: 1255165; Page: 463.3000; Enumeration
District: 104; Image: 0931.
2 and 3 Jun 1880
[b 1842/3] 37, Joseph W. Roby, wm, works in shingle mill, bMA fMA mMA
[b 1852/3] 27, Emily J. Roby, wf, keeping house, bNY fNY mNY.
1900 US Census, Hebron Twp., Potter Co., PA
Roll: T623 1482; Page: 2A.
4 Jun 1900
b Sep 1842, 59, Warren Roby, wm, M 28 years, bMA fMA mMA, farmer, rwE, own farm free.
b Jan 1853, 47, Emily J. Roby, wf, M 28 years, 1 child born, 1 living, bNY fNY mNY, rwE.
Aside from the apparent 1900 census report error (as read by ancestry.com) on the age of Mr. Roby, Sep 1842 seems to be clear and it's consistent with the 1880 age. (The age on the 1900 report could be 57.)
The headstone reading says the birth year is 1836. I'm wondering if there is a headstone error or the headstone is not fully readable.
