(per Minnie Briggs diary entry of 2April1868). 1870 Federal Census: still looking In 1879, she and William Lyon moved to Paola, KS. 1880 Federal Census: Paola, Miami Co., KS, living with husband, William Lyon. 1885, she made her home with son, Clarence, probably after William moved to California (without her). 1895 Kansas State Census: McCune, Crawford Co., KS, listed as M.E. Lyon, aged 56. Living with son C.H. Deyo, his wife Katy, and their children Mary and George.
