- FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. GEORGE HOLLY
Sister of the Late Riley Allen, Was Burled at Ceres on Sunday Afternoon
CERES, Nov. 27. — Mrs. Emily Allen Holly, wife of George J. Holly, died Thursday at noon at the Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. She had been in her usual health until a few days before her death and had been in Olean last week to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Mina B. Southeron. Mrs. Holly was born in Friendship in 1859 and was a sister of the late Riley Allen and Mrs. Ersula Emerson, besides her husband, who is recovering from a fractured skull suffered about two weeks ago when struck by an automobile in Ceres, she is survived by six nieces and four nephews. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Court of the Amaranth. She was married to George J. Holly of Friendship, 49 years ago and had lived nearly all her lifetime in Ceres. Funeral services were held from her late home here Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Leach officiating. Burial was in
the local cemetery.
