  Notes	Newspaper clipping (publication unknown, probably The Potter Enterprise (weekly), Coudersport, PA): NONAGENARIAN Carl Mitchell, Coudersport, celebrated his 90th birthday on April 20, with members of his family. A lifetime resident of Potter County, Mr. Mitchell was a well-known logger in his earlier years. Later, he went to work at Damascus Tanning Company where he remained until his retirement in 1954. He was born April 20, 1887, in Sweden Township, a son of George and Lyda Vergason Mitchell. He was married to Etta Belle Thompson, who died in 1973. For years he has been an apiarist and has collected many, many pounds of pure honey from his bees, which he continues to care for. He also maintains his own garden. Mr. Mitchell has six children: Luva Derkis, Bradford, Luella Hamilton, Gustave Knowlton, Lorraine Russell and Carl W. Mitchell, all of Coudersport, and Lloyd Mitchell, Roulette. He also has 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Note: Gustave should be Gustava.]
