069-24-6380 New York Ruth A. Wallace Ruth Anna Wallace of Yuma died June 1, 2003, at Yuma Regional Medical Center at age 73. She was born April 4, 1930, in Bethlehem, Pa., and had been a licensed practical nurse at a hospital. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Yuma. Kammann Mortuary is handling arrangements, including private cremation.
- Ruth Anna Wallace, 73, passed away June 1, 2003 in Yuma. She was born April 4, 1930 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Ruth worked for 18 years as an LPN at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Yuma. After her husband passed away in 1959, Ruth raised six children alone. She is survived by her sons, James Wallace of North Carolina, David Wallace of Molalla, Oregon, Jonathan Wallace of Florida, Daniel Wallace of Phoenix, Arizona, and Joel Wallace of California; daughter, Dorothy (Wallace) Lehman of Fountain Valley, California; brothers, James Holmes of Alabama, Charles Holmes of Las Vegas, Nevada, Terry Holmes of New York; sisters, Florence Holmes of New York, Bertha Gravanda of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosemary Tilton of New York; 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Burr Wallace, in 1959 and her sister, Thelia Holmes, in 2002. Services will be at the First Christian Church of Yuma on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 9:00 a.m., with Dr. Parish officiating. Her final resting place will be in Franklinville, New York.
