His sons Tracy's obituary of 1894 states that his father "died near the St. Lawarence River in New York." Frederick's widow, Wealthy, of Elkhart Co.,IN, was granted 70 acres of land in Elkhart Co.,IN in July 1837, by President Van Buren, under the Land Act of 1820.
