  Notes	CANDOR - Gertrude "Peggy" P. Stickle, of Candor, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 9, 2007 at the age of 85. Born June 1, 1922 in Hartsville, NY, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Isabel (Beattie) Post. A graduate of Houghton College, Peggy spent many years teaching French at Newark Valley Central School. She enjoyed traveling with students to France and other parts of Europe. Peggy also enjoyed flying in small planes piloted by her husband, John, and was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Candor. She is survived by her husband, John G. Stickle of Ithaca; her daughter, Cathy (Blair) Hoover of Trumansburg; her brother, Howard Post of Andover, NY; her sisters, Miriam Scovazzo of Bellmore, NY, Betty Updike of Branchport, NY, and Vida Grau of Gettysburg, PA. Peggy is also survived by two grandchildren, Douglas and Heidi. Those who wish to remember Peggy in the form of a contribution may give to the organization of their choice. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jeff Losey, will be held at the Trumansburg United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 14th, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ness-Sibley Funeral Home, 23 South St., Trumansburg, NY.
