    • 1873Feb16 article in Dansville Advertiser that says Eaton was very ill along with some other from town (one of those named was listed as died in following weeks newspaper). I don't find a mention of his death other than his wife Sally was a widow in 1875 census and her obituary says she was a widow of Eaton Hartman (1877).
