  Notes	Alinda Briggs was born on November 12, 1816, in Bristol, New York. She and her older sister Louisa were both married on June 29, 1834, in a double ceremony in East Bloomfield, Ontario, New York. Alinda married Barnabas Crane, and Louisa married Barnabas' brother, George Washington Crane. Within months, the newlyweds and the rest of Alinda's family including her parents Thomas and Abigail Briggs moved to Sharon, Ohio. Alinda and Barnabas had four children on their 192-acre farm in Sharon. The youngest child was only three when Barnabas died on November 11, 1856. Two years later, on July 13, 1858, D.G. Briggs officiated at the marriage of Alinda and the widower Ira Totman of Bristol, Ontario County, New York. Ira's son Seneca "Nick" Samuel Totman was about 13 at the time of their marriage. Alinda and Ira had a child together, Irene Imogene Totman, in 1860. In 1867, Alinda's daughter Lucy Clara Crane married her stepbrother Seneca Totman. Alinda's children were all still living in Sharon when she died of breast cancer on July 30, 1880. She and Barnabas Crane share a monument in the Sharon Center Cemetery.
