  Notes	Lloyd lived on the Peter Moose Homestead. In 1984 was the home of Bill Teeter at the top of Moose Hill Road in Springwater. Lloyd was a farmer 10 years in Sparta and Justice of the Peace a few years. About 1920 Lloyd and Nina moved to Florida for his health, he had asthma. They bought and sold land, and settled in Crescent City. He had a 21 acre citrus grove, which he had for many years. Lloyd eventually sold the grove and had a funeral home. He later ran a gas station. Lloyd's hobbies were people and family history. He was the first one in the Moose family to start searching out relatives and statistics. During the first 23 years of the Moose reunion, Lloyd held an office all but one year. He was president 10 years, historian 6 years, and vice-president from 1935 unitl his death in 1948. He was a colorful chacter, wore a stovepipe hat, and a cutaway black suit from his funeral home days, until they wore out. He also had a goatee. Lloyd left a great history of the people Sparta-Springwater Town-Line Road area, sometime called the "Story Road". It was orginally written as installments for the Genesee Country Express and Advertiser from Dec. 1, 1932 to June 29, 1933. In 1981, Alice Oaks, of Hornell,NY re-typed and organized it into a book.
