Plot: HamsherNotes - A funeral service was conducted Friday in Wayland for Mrs. Lydia D. Hamsher, 96, of 19 So. Lackawanna St., Wayland, who died Tuesday (Nov. 25, 1975) in her home following a long illness. A native of Springwater, she had been a lifelong resident of the Wayland area and was the widow of Frank Hamsher. Mrs. Hamsher was the last surviving member of the Wayland Rebekah Lodge. She was a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America and received a pin denoting a half-century of service in 1962. She was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church and the Big Sisters Class of that church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marion Banhouter of Wayland, and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Wayland Village Cemetery.
