- An attractive double wedding took place at the Methodist Church in Newark Saturday afternoon, June 22, 1935 when Miss Dorothy Griffing wed Henry A. Swanson and Miss Gertrude G. Griffing became the bride of Charles Edward Kiehle of Sparta. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Arthur M. Griffing, brother of the brides, assisted by the pastor of the Newark Methodist Church.
