  Notes	Dansville, New York Express Thursday, Oct. 27, 1910 Josiah H. Hartman died on Saturday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Joseph Driesbach on Franklin street at the age of 75 years and 9 months. He was the son of Hugh Hartman and was born in this village at the foot of South street and he had always lived here, following the occupation of a farmer and butcher. He owned a couple of houses and lots, having lived in one of the houses until he became too ill to be left alone and he then went to his daughter's where he died, and where he was well cared for. In 1862 he enlisted in Co. B, 136th N.Y.V. the company commanded by Major Bailey, and during the three years of service he was engaged in every action in which the regiment participated, being wounded in March, 1865, and his record as a soldier is a good one. He had lived in this village since the war closed. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Driesbach and Mrs. Samuel Fronk, sons Daniel W. Hartman of Rochester and Josiah Hartman of Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Rev. C.E. Odell officiating, members of the Seth N. Hedges Post acting as bearers.
