Plot: GreggJohn Gregg - Evergreen Cemetery
Plot: GreggNotes - John Jr. was said to have been a Red Coat during the early part of the Revolution, however, the story does not appear to matchup with the facts that can be found amount primary sources of the time. It is my THEORY that John Jr. is a son of John Sr from Petersborough,NH and later of Colrain,MA, and John Sr. is the son of Hugh Gregg that came some Scot/Ireland between 1730 and 1736. The Graggs' that are listed as dying in Colrain, match to our parents of John Jr., this is also the place where John Jr. children were born. Until something is proven or disproven otherwise, everything points to The GRAGG from Colrain being the family of our John Gragg, Jr. that later settled in Bristol,Ontario Co.,NY about 1800.
