Simon's widow married Joseph Gilbert, whichaccounts for this name appearing in the Beach genealogy. Rachel andNancy's brother, Ezekiel Beach, appears with the list of creditors in theprobate of his estate. This is the last record of Simeon, Sr. and sons William and Jonathan inSimsbury. Sometime in the 1780's, after the birth of NancyWard inConnecticut in 1783, they left and next appear on the 1790 census forAlbany County, NY, at Rensaellerville. They are listed in sequence, soprobablywere living in adjoining households. Simeon Jr. was still livingin Rensaellerville in 1810 and a William Ward, who was probably his son.No record of his death was found.
