  Notes	Edward R. Applin, 68, of Elmira, a former resident of Dansville, died unexpectedly Thursday (Oct. 18, 1962). Survivors include his wife, Monica; a son, Leo J. Applin of Elmira; four brothers, Vern, John, Henry and Clarence, all of Dansville and Carl Applin of Wassaic; two sisters, Mrs. John O. (Mabel) Kilpatrick and Mrs. Ethel Wiseman, both of Dansville. A funeral service was conducted in Elmira Saturday. Interment was in St. Peter?s and St. Paul?s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Randall, George Westbrook, Robert Daley, Joseph Bacyk, Paul Mays, John Mays. (DB, October 23, 1962, p1)
