  Notes	Herman E. Burger, 80, formerly of 12 Maples St. in Dansville, died Tuesday (June 5, 1979) in Geneseo after a long illness. Born in South Dansville, Mr. Burger had lived in that area most of his life and worked as a carpenter. He and his wife, Mrs. T. Doretta Burger, were foster parents of 35 children. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Robinson of Prattsburg and Mrs. Eleanor Murphy of Dansville; a brother, Dana Burger of South Dansville; a sister, Mrs. Bernice VanHousen of Wayland. His foster children in the Dansville area include Mrs. Nancy Kurtz, Mrs. Elsie Kurtz and Mrs. Frances Lowery. A service was conducted in the Hindle Funeral Home Friday afternoon with the Rev. Christopher Thomford officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville. (GCE, June 14, 1979, p10)
