- Albert F. Eckert, 70, of 46 Jefferson St., Dansville, died Friday (Sept. 4, 1987) in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Syracuse following a long illness.
Born in Portageville, he was a son of Christian and Catherine Glass Eckert. A resident of the Dansville area most of his life, he was married to Irma Hulbert Eckert who died May 19, 1987. He was a veteran of World War II and was a carpenter with the Bennett Brothers Construction Co. here. Mr. Eckert was a member of Daniel Goho American Legion Post and Frank Casbolt Memorial Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans unit in Mt. Morris.
Surviving are a son, Richard of Dansville; two brothers, Andrew of Richland, Wash., and Anthony of Snyder; four sisters, Mary Schery of Portageville, Catherine Ross of Oakfield; Rita Lippert of Florence, Ariz., and Jean Black of Tonawanda; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A committal service with full military rites were conducted Saturday morning in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville, with arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home of Dansville.
