  Notes	From The Naples Record 17 June 1876 In the town of Richmond, Ont. Co., NY, on the 11th inst., Leonidas Wilbur, died of pneumonia after a short illness. Mr. Wilbur was born in the town of Berkley, Bristol, Co., MA. Nov 15th, 1798. His parents were Josiah and Bathsheba Wilbur, his mother's maiden name being Briggs. While quite young he moved with his parents to Windham Co., VT, where he received his education. When twenty he came to Western NY to the town where he died, to visit an Uncle Artemas Briggs, a brother of his mother, where he remained one year. On his return he went to Bristol Co., MA, and spent several years farming. In 1891 he was married to Abigail Cornell of Berkley, MA, and settled in Londondery Windham Co., VT, where they had six children born — one son, Dr. Wilbur of Honeoye, and five daughters, of whom all have survived him but Nettie, the youngest, by whose side he was laid so peacefully. In 1851 he moved from Londondery, having sold his farm, to Richmond, Ont. Co., where he resided until his death. He was a man of sterling' integrity, industry and frugality, and has left a memory that will not only be cherished by near relatives, but by all who knew him. He was a kind husband, an indulgent and loving father, a good citizen and neighbor. Loving hands administered to his wants during his sickness, and loved ones sorrow for their dead; but not as those without a hope of a blessed resurrection. His funeral was attended from his home by a large concourse of people. Rev. S. M. Day gave some very impressive thoughts from the text, "Your fathers, where are they?"
