- Anita I. Stanley, 74, of Hartman Road died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after a brief illness.
She was born in Secaucus, N.J. on April 17, 1919, the daughter of the late William and Susanah Clemens Schmidt. She was married in Dansville Oct. 9, 1937 to Kenneth Stanley, who died May 25, 1990. Prior to her retirement in 1981, she had been a secretary for Kelly Brothers Nursery for over 20 years. She was a member of the Dansville Women of the Moose and a former member of the Royal Neighbors.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by one son, Kenneth 'Bill' (Linda) Stanley of Holcomb; two daughters, Judy (Bob) Clark of Dansville and Sherry (Jim) Phillips of Dansville; and one brother, Gerry Schmidt of Clarence. Also surviving are six grandchildren, one great-grand-child, several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Ruth Derowitsch of Dansville.
Friends called Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Chamberlin Funeral Home Inc., 73 Main Street, Dansville, where a funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. G. Calvin Sheasley officiating. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery. A Woman of the Moose service was held Monday at 7 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Hornell Cancer Treatment Services, 21 Orchard St., Hornell, N.Y. 14843.
