Morris. She was born in Dansville, on Nov. 6, 1922, daughter of the late Orville and Myrtie (Carter) Hamsher. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth, Ward, Howard and Wayne Hamsher. Luella was a member of the Sparta Center Church, the United Methodist Woman-Opportunity Circle, delivered Meals on Wheels, loved bingo and her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Luella was a retired attendant at the former Craig Colony where she was employed for 23 years. She is survived by her children, Mary Lou (Harold) Kiesl of Wayland, Mick 'Marion' (Mary Ann) Crowell of Wayland and William (Mary) Crowell of Dansville; grandchildren, Daniel Kiesl, Debra (Phillip) Heverling, Michael (Jennifer) Crowell, Stacie (Michael) Chessnoe, Aaron (Marissa) Crowell, Kathryn Crowell, Emily (Chris Sheehan) Crowell, Christopher Crowell; step-grandchildren, Lynn (Don) Melenbacher, Sue (Jeffrey) Burley, Mark Melenbacher; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Wilhelemena Potter. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sparta Center Methodist Church with the Reverend Jamie Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, West Sparta.
