He was a well known citizen of this town and was born in Almond in 1856, coming here with his father, the late Orlo Allen, when a child. He was well liked and his death is sincerely mourned. For many years he was afflicted with consumption but his last sickness was short, five weeks. Mr. Allen leaves a wife, one son, Guy Allen and two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Brady of St. Marys, Ohio, and Mrs. Effie Curtin of Lima, Ohio. The funeral was held at the house Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Tallant, pastor of the Allentown Methodist church. Among the friends and relatives at the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Curtin, Lima; Mrs. J. L. Brady and son Allen, St. Mary's; G. W. Mead, Bradford; Mr. and C. C.
