  Notes	Burlington Free Press April 2000 ELIZABETH BURDITT PARKER ANDREWS BURLINGTON ? Elizabeth Burditt Parker Andrews died peacefully in the Burlington Health and Rehab Center on April 27, 2000. Lib was born in Boston, Mass., on April 30, 1908. Orphaned within months, she was adopted in 1913 by Carrie (Mason Burditt) and J. Earle Parker (of Pittsford and West Rutland, respectively). She grew up in Waban, Mass., and was graduated from Newton High School in 1926. After graduating from Middlebury College, Class of 1930, Lib taught high school English for the next six years in Bristol, Cohasset, Mass., and East Hartford, Conn. During summers, she attended Middlebury's Breadloaf School of English from which she earned her master's degree in 1935. In 1936, Lib married John Thayer Andrews, and they took up residence in Middlebury, where he taught at the college, and they raised three children. The family spent summers in West Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Lib served the Girl Scouts at the state level and was an active member of the Middlebury Congregational Church and the Juniper Point community association in Boothbay, Maine. In addition, she was a lifelong, devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. In 1996, Lib moved to the Converse Home in Burlington and in 1999 to the BHRC. KLib was predeceased by her husband in 1985 and by her brother, John Parker, in 1972. She leaves children and in-laws, Charles and Connie Andrews of Reston, Va., Caroline Allen of Trenton, Maine, and Richard Allen of Southwest Harbor, Maine, and Catharine ""Kit" Andrews and Tom O. Smith of Burlington; friend and advocate Susan Barber of Burlington; grandchildren Patrick, Vanessa, James, Andrew, Nel and Margo; dear childhood friend and sister-in-law Helen A. Bowditch of Worcester, Mass.; and sister-in-law May Parker of Littleton, N.H.; cousins John and Mary Cadwell ofPittsford; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends within her Middlebury, Booth bay and Converse Home/BHRC communities. A service of celebration of the life of Elizabeth Andrews will be held Saturday, May 27, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Congregational Church of Middlebury. A private interment in Pitts ford's Evergreen Cemetery
