Knapp, 96, formerly of Dansville, passed peacefully in Knoxville on Aug. 12, 2008, and entered into a new room in our Father's house. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Jane Knapp; his brothers, Paul and Howard Knapp; his sisters, Helen Barron and Mary Sterner; his wife, Aleta Sanford Knapp; his daughter, Rosalie; and his good friend, Margaret Krupp of Arkport. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Vosteen of Rochester, N.Y.; his two sons, Richard of Albuquerque, N.M. and Robert of Pioneer, Tenn.; and his granddaughter, Liana Chen Knapp. Funeral services were in Knoxville.
