- Mrs. Fannie Moose: Mrs. Fannie Moose, wife of Alonso Moose, died at her home corner of Chestnut Ave and Elizabeth Street Tuesday night after an illness of two weeks with Spanish influenza and pneumonia. During her illness she was cared for by her two sisters and a trained nurse and all that human help could give was given her. Mrs. Moose was the daughter of Benjamin Deitre and Elvira Kobries, and was born in Sparta Dec 9, 1868, and was married to Alonzo Moose in 1885. She had been an active member of the Lady Maccabees since 1903, and was Lady commander at the time of her death. She leaves besides her husband two brothers, Daniel N. Dieter of Wayland and Seymour Deiter of Sparta, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Smith and Mrs. Herbert Salinger of this village. The funeral services will be held from the house Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev C. M. King officiating, burial in Greenmount.
