  Notes	NUNDA/DALTON - Shirley Edward Caton, 76, of Shaw Road passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Born in Mt. Morris, Shirley was the son of the late Bert Caton Jr. and Bertha Tuttle Caton. He was an assistant stationary engineer for Craig Development Center in Sonyea, remaining in that position throughout the transition from DDSO to a state correctional institution until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Dansville Moose Lodge. Shirley was predeceased by his brother Elmer Caton. He is survived by three sisters-Anna Maples of Dansville, Ruth Recktenwald of Wayland and Lavone (Mickey) Levee of Dansville-as well as several nieces and nephews and his dear dog Buffy. Friends called Friday, June 1 2-4 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where a memorial service was held immediately following visitation, the Rev. Jamie Stevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teresa House in Geneseo or Vincent House in Wayland. (GCE, May 31, 2007, p4)
