    • DEATH OF MRS. MORAN.
      The sad intelligence reached the South Side yesterday of the death of Agnes, the esteemed wife of John Moran, of Newkirk, formerly of McAdoo. Deceased has been suffering severely for some time past with cancer but bore her ills with true resignation and Christian fortitude and peacefully gave the keeping of her soul to the God who gave it. Everything known to medical science was done for her without avail and her husband, family and immediate friends were compelled to gaze painfully on her once sturdy form being slowly reduced and emaciated by disease. The end came calmly at 4 o’clock yesterday morning causing the husband and family the loss of as kind and faithful a wife and mother as ever lived. Her maiden name was Miss Agnes McMullen, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex McMullen, pioneer residents of Honey Brook. Besides a husband she is survived by the following family: Edward, Alex, Daniel, John, William, Annie Margaret, Mary Ellen, Lizzie and Agnes. The funeral will occur on Wednesday morning with a requiem mass in St. Jerome’s church at Tamaqua, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
