  Notes	Honeoye, N. Y. - The death of William Stevens occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Huff, at Caledonia on Saturday morning. He had been a sufferer for the past two years or more from Bright's disease, which was the cause of his death. Mr. Stevens was born in this town on July 26, 1832, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stevens, and the greater part of his life was passed here in his native town. He was a widely known and highly respected citizen; a member of the First Congregational church and of the local lodge of F. & A. M. Last fall he and his wife and daughter, went to spend the winter with Mrs. John Huff at Caledonia, and later decided to locate permanently at that place and dispose of his home here. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the Congregational church, Rev. Dr. Arthur O'Dell, assisted by Rev. S. Mills Day, officiating. The interment was in Lake View cemetery. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Minnie of Chicago, Mildred and Mrs. Huff of Caledonia; also three brothers and two sisters, Walter A. Stevens of Chicago, Ill., Ami W. Stevens of Atchison, Kansas, Othello H. Stevens and Elizabeth and Ellen A. Stevens of Rochester. (Ontario County Journal, 20 April 1906)
